The Cavs are the worst teams in terms of losing money (most due to the hefty luxury taxes). Dan Gilbert's decision whether to sell the Cavs will depend on whether LBJ will commit to staying with the Cavs for the long run. If he does, Gilbert will probably sell the team as it will be worth more money. If not, then he might spend more time to rebuild the team before selling. Most of the Cavs management believe LBJ will leave next season. I don't think he will join the GSW. The Lakers will be a more likely choice. They play excellent defense lately and have won 11 of the last 15 games (even without Lonzo Ball). LBJ may see better hope for the Lakers, especially if they can also land another superstar like PG. The Lakers are the youngest team in NBA (average age is only around 24 yrs old) and have the biggest salary space next season (only $53 millions committed salaries for 2018~19). However, people believe that the Lakers still need more trade and salary manipulations in order to free up enough space to sign two superstars. One, definitely, but two, need more works. ... |
