Part of the reason may be because the ownership is in transition so the management is not willing to take any drastic action. After the passing of previous owner Paul Allen, the Microsoft co-founder, his sister Jody Allen reportedly does not want to own the two sports teams (Portland Trail Blazers and Seattle Seahawks). Those teams could be put up for sale by his estate. Anyhow, when the owner is not very interested, you can't expect any big action, I guess. Also, the Blazers do not have much salary cap space next season to play with, so their hands are tied, sort of. ... |
